GAWP ANNUAL CONFERENCE STUDENT POSTER SESSION
A CALL FOR ABSTRACTS is open for the student poster session at the Georgia Association of Water Professionals 2018 Annual Conference being held from July 15-18, 2018 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center in Savannah, GA. The poster session will take place on the afternoon of Monday, July 16th, during which students will be asked to stand with their posters and present and discuss their work with professionals. Posters will remain on display outside the main conference session rooms from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon. There will be a lot of foot traffic around the posters throughout the duration of the conference.
Abstracts may be submitted here. The deadline for submitting an abstract is Friday, April 13th.
If your poster is accepted, you will need to register to attend the Annual Conference free of charge and be prepared to bring your printed poster with you. We will provide easels/display. Ensure that your name(s) and contact information is visible on the front of your poster.
We encourage everyone who submits an abstract to become a student member of GAWP at $5 annual membership. (Information here on becoming a student member.). Click HERE for a copy of the flyer with details about the poster session.
The Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) is a not-for-profit association whose chief purpose is to educate and assist those who have an interest in the proper management and protection of Georgia’s water resources. GAWP provides professional development and promotes sound public policy in the water resources and related environmental fields. Annual Conference attendance includes 1000 water professionals from across the state who work in a variety of fields related to water resource management. The poster session is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet face-to-face with water professionals, share ideas and network.
Please let Sarah Skinner know if you have any questions about the poster session or if you experience issues submitting your abstract at SSkinner@atlantaregional.org or 404-463-3344.
