Join the Public Education Committee
for Rivers Alive 2014

Free to GAWP Members and employees of Corporate/Utility Members
$5 for Non-GAWP Members (covers lunch)

Litter in our waterways is not just unsightly; it is a hazard to wildlife and can threaten the health of aquatic ecosystems. Do your part to protect our water resources by helping the GAWP Public Education Committee (PEC) take the trash out of Sweetwater Creek at Sweetwater Creek State Park.

Everyone is invited to join the PEC and Georgia State Parks on a stream cleanup on Friday, September 19, 2014. We’ll meet in the parking lot of the Interpretive Center/Park HQ. Our group will then set off to walk and wade along Sweetwater Creek.

Lunch and Rivers Alive t-shirts are provided for all volunteers. We will have plenty of trash bags and gloves available for use. Please bring waders, rubber boots, or close-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
