Jack Dozier served as Executive Director of the
Georgia Association of Water Professionals from 1990 until 2014 at the Annual Conference when he officially retired and became Executive Advisor. During his Directorship, GAWP was recognized as the Water Environment Federation’s Outstanding Member Association and won numerous awards from both WEF and the American Water Works Association for its innovative programs.  In his previous life, Jack worked for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division for 15 years, and served as EPD’s Water Protection Branch Chief until his departure in 1990.  Jack holds a BS in Civil Engineering and a MS in Environmental Engineering from Duke University.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in Georgia, and also holds a Certified Association Executive accreditation from the American Society of Association Executives.  He serves as an advisor on water policy issues to the Georgia Municipal Association, Association of County Commissioners of Georgia, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and others.  He received the Georgia Society of Association Executives’ Clifford Clark Award in 2008, recognizing him as the outstanding association executive. Jack loves golf, bowling and the occasional baseball card…collection, but his favorite pastime are his four beautiful grandchildren.
